Local Stop Smoking Services - Self-assessment and service improvement tool (SASIT)
SASIT is a tool commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), as part of the conditions of the Public Health Grant, to support local authority Stop Smoking Services benchmark activity, ensure a minimum standard of service and identify areas for improvement. The tool and supporting resources can be downloaded from this page.
All local authorities are encouraged to use the tool as part of ongoing service improvement, however any area achieving less than 5% of their local smoking population who set a quit date must submit a completed self-assessment to DHSC within the financial year.
