These key messages were developed by national experts to assist with standardising the way we describe and treat tobacco dependence in the inpatient setting across trusts, and among partner organisations. The primary audience for these key messages is NHS trust leadership, clinical staff, and the trust tobacco dependence team. The key messages may also be useful for trust communications teams.
