NCSCT Face-to-Face Training Course In Behavioural Support

The NCSCT Face-to-Face Training Course in Behavioural Support is a two-day course which focuses on the core skills required of stop smoking practitioners.

A number of Local Stop Smoking Services (LSSSs) will be offered the two-day training course, in order of priority and depending on their need. The criteria for selecting services has been agreed with the Department of Health and includes measures of deprivation, smoking prevalence and CO-validated quit rates.

Note:
It is NOT a requirement for practitioners to have attended a NCSCT Face-to-Face Training Course in Behavioural Support before taking the online Stage 2 Assessment in order to achieve Full NCSCT Certification.

The NCSCT is developing specialty modules on smoking cessation in pregnancy and mental health settings, that will be available early 2012.
