- Evaluation and Validation of the NCSCT Training and Assessment Programme
One major strand of research at the NCSCT involves evaluating the effectiveness of the NCSCT training and assessment programme, and assessing the impact of this training upon clinical practice and client outcomes.

A second strand of research at the NCSCT is aimed at finding and disseminating best practice, specifically by identifying the correlates (service & treatment characteristics) of successful outcome at the NHS Stop Smoking Services.
