ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance

The NCSCT has implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) based on the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2008 standard as part of its ongoing organisational commitment to providing customers and stakeholders with the highest quality products and services possible.

To ensure continued customer and stakeholder satisfaction and organisational improvement, the NCSCT undergoes an annual assessment by the BSI (British Standards Industry) on its systems and processes to check they are implemented and functioning accordingly.

The scope of the NCSCT's ISO 9001:2008 certification covers: "The provision of support, systems, resources and evidence based training incorporating an active programme of research, evaluation and advice relating to smoking cessation and tobacco use at local and national level".

The last assessment was carried out in May 2011 (with no non conformities noted) and certification achieved.
